One and Different: A Poem

         One and Different

The grass is green

And the sky is blue.

I’d like to be green

But envy is best dressed in green.

Maybe Blue? But blue isn’t so pretty

On the other side,

The grass is also green?

I at least thought, it would be a mixture of different colours.

You know, the way we’re all different

Then is a constant reminder

That ‘same’ is boring

Let us stand as one proudly

In our difference.

For the one with whom infinity will not be enough.

  To the one who will ask, for the one that’ll hear my vows; ‘ I do’ wrapped up in lilac.   Two words dressed in apparent frailty, spoken ...
